The goal of the Integrative Cancer Biology Program (ICBP) Award entitled "Systems based predictions of responses to cancer therapy" is to develop experimental and computational strategies to predict individual responses to therapies targeted along the Raf-MEK-ERK signaling pathway. The ~ $2.5 M p/y grant (5 years)was awarded per October 2004 by the National Cancer Institute (NCI)to Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and collaborating institutions SRI International and the Netherlands Cancer Institute. Issued as a P50 award, the award was transformed into a U54 in year 1. More information about NIH/NCI ICBP available here.

Bi-weekly ICBP Meetings (Systems Biology Meetings)
Current schedule

NCI Integrative Cancer Biology Program Spring 2007 meeting and related meetings

The next meeting of the NCI’s Integrative Cancer Biology Program (ICBP) is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, June 13-14, 2007 in Cambridge, MA. The first day of the meeting will be held jointly with the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) Systems Biology Program on June 13th. This is a Centers program similar to the ICBP. The second day will focus exclusively on ICBP issues and programs. NCI ICBP members are also invited to attend the NIGMS Centers focused Program on June 12 in Boston, MA.

The NCI Mouse Models of Human Cancers Consortium (MMHCC) will also meet in Boston, Tuesday and Wednesday, June 11-13, 2007; ICBP meeting participants are welcome to participate in their sessions.

Following the ICBP meeting, MIT’s Center for Cancer Research will host a “Systems Biology of Cancer” Symposium on Friday, June 15, 2007. You can access further information about the Symposium here. Registration for the Symposium is required. The registration fee is $65 prior to mid-April and $80 until the Symposium reaches capacity.

Please contact Lori Salles if you are interested in attending any of these meetings.

Pathway Modeling Workshop Fall 2007

On October 24-26, 2007 a 3-day Annual Pathway Modeling Workshop that features discussions about experimental data generation and local Pathway Logic modeling efforts will be held at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI), Berkeley, CA. More information forthcoming, or inquire with Lori Salles.
